Building in Corona

What Corona backyards usually need.

About 25 miles northwest of our Menifee base

Corona’s hillside neighborhoods and established tracts call for two different kinds of work: new pools designed around slopes and views, and remodels that bring an older pool up to date with new finish, tile, coping, and features.

Rockwork is a good fit for Corona yards backing onto the hills. A sculpted waterfall or grotto ties the pool to the landscape behind it.

We build custom pools & spas, remodels & repairs, outdoor living, and landscape & hardscape in Corona, plus pool resurfacing.

Good to know

The practical stuff that shapes the schedule and the budget, before anything gets dug.

Permits

The City of Corona’s Building Division issues swimming pool permits and publishes its own submittal checklist and fees.

Hillside lots

Slopes common in South Corona and Sierra del Oro usually need retaining walls and engineered plans. They’re also where rock waterfalls and raised spas look most natural.

Remodels

If your pool came with the house, a remodel with a new finish, tile, coping, and decking often changes the whole yard for far less than a new pool.

Safety law

California’s Swimming Pool Safety Act requires every new pool or spa to have at least two of seven drowning-prevention features, such as a fence or enclosure that isolates the pool, a safety cover, or alarms on doors that lead to the pool.

Remodel

Flagstone remodel

The shell stayed. Everything around it changed: hand-set flagstone decking and curved steps, a raised glass-tile wall with sheer descents, a rock waterfall, and deck jets over a new shallow shelf.

How it works

Four steps from dirt to first swim.

  1. Patio cover with stone columns over a pool and spa
    01

    Walk the yard

Miguel comes out, looks at the space, and listens: how you want to use it, what you’ve seen that you like, and the budget you have in mind. The estimate is free.

  2. POOL WIDTH SHELF SPA SHEER DESCENTS STEPS SKETCH · NOT TO SCALE

    Design it

We turn that into a layout — pool shape, spa, features, decking, and everything around it — and adjust it with you until it’s right.

  3. DPC crew hand-setting flagstone on the new pool steps
    03

    Build it

Our crew builds it — shell, stone, tile, decking, and the details — and you’ll always know who’s in your yard and what happens next.

Questions

Corona pool questions.

Budgeting? Start with our pool cost guide.

Do I need a permit for a pool in Corona?

Yes. The City of Corona Building Division issues swimming pool permits; plans are reviewed before construction and inspected along the way.

Do you build pools in Corona?

Yes. Corona is in our service area. We work throughout the city, including South Corona, Sierra del Oro, Eagle Glen, and Dos Lagos.

Can you add a rock waterfall or slide?

Yes. Sculpted rock waterfalls, grottos, and slides built into the rockwork are some of our favorite projects, on new pools or as part of a remodel.

Should I remodel my older Corona pool or replace it?

If the shell is sound, a remodel is usually the better value. We’ll tell you honestly which makes sense after we see it.
